ANAC Argentina

The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) is the decentralized agency operating under the Argentine Secretariat of Transportation. Animal transport is strictly regulated to ensure public health and safety:

• Cabin vs. Hold: The decision to allow in-cabin transport is at the airline's discretion, subject to weight limits (generally up to 7–8 kg, including the carrier).
• Documentation: An International Veterinary Certificate (CVI) issued by SENASA is required for international flights, and up-to-date rabies vaccination records are mandatory for domestic flights.
• Service Dogs: Under current regulations, the transport of trained service dogs in the cabin is mandatory and free of charge, provided the airline is notified at least 48 hours in advance.

• Seats: ask for seats together when booking; whether seat selection is charged depends on the airline and the fare.
• Infant allowance: many airlines carry a folding stroller or a car seat for babies under 2 free of charge, which can be checked at the aircraft door; check your airline's policy.
• Priorities: Families with infants have boarding priority.

In Argentina, airlines and airports must assist people with disabilities or reduced mobility, under the law and ANAC rules:

• Ground Assistance: Airlines and airport operators are required to provide free wheelchair assistance and support for the boarding/deplaning of Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM).
