Baggage
FOCA does not stipulate specific baggage prices, but it requires full transparency ("all-in" pricing):
- Fares: It is mandatory for the total ticket price, including all mandatory taxes and fees, to be displayed from the very first stage of the booking process.
- Carry-on baggage: Under EASA-aligned regulations, FOCA monitors compliance with carry-on baggage dimensions, requiring airlines to maintain clear criteria to ensure passengers are not subject to surprise charges at the boarding gate.
- Security: Liquid restrictions remain harmonized with the European standard (containers up to 100ml in transparent bags), except at airports that have implemented next-generation Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, where the liquid restriction has been relaxed.

Pets
The transport of pets in Switzerland follows strict public health and animal welfare regulations (Federal Act on Animal Protection):
- Documentation: A "Pet Passport" (EU/Swiss Pet Passport), identification microchip, and valid rabies vaccination are mandatory.
- Restrictions: Brachycephalic (short-nosed) animals are subject to severe transport restrictions in the cargo hold on certain airlines due to respiratory risks under FOCA monitoring.
- Cabin vs. Hold: The decision to allow animals in the cabin is at the airline's discretion; however, FOCA requires that the animal has enough space to stand and turn around, ensuring the carrier is ergonomically appropriate.

Children & families
FOCA promotes guidelines aimed at facilitating family travel:
- Seating: Airlines operating from Switzerland are strongly encouraged to group children under 12 with their accompanying adults at no extra cost during seat selection.
- Equipment: The transport of umbrella-style strollers and car seats certified for onboard use is mandatory and free of charge, provided the child has their own seat.
- Priority: Families with infants have priority boarding at Swiss airports under FOCA’s facilitation standards.

Seniors & accessibility
Switzerland strictly adheres to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006 concerning the rights of persons with disabilities or reduced mobility:
- Assistance: Airport assistance services in Switzerland are a free right. This must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of the flight through the airline or travel agency.
- MEDIF (Medical Information Form): Medical forms are only required if the passenger's condition necessitates onboard oxygen, stretchers, or continuous medical assistance during the flight. FOCA recommends that the form be completed clearly to avoid boarding refusals by the crew.
- Equipment: Powered wheelchairs must be declared in advance (battery type) to ensure compliance with IATA/FOCA dangerous goods regulations.
